Medical City Dallas Hospital has announced a $114 million expansion and renovation project that could start this fall.
Enhancements include 4 new floors and expansion of an existing floor in the E Tower. It also includes 18 new private rooms for stem cell transplant patients and 37 new private rooms for oncology patients. In total, Medical City will add over 100 patients beds.
Officials say the expansion is needed to accommodate growing demand, but admit that it's, in part, to stay competitive with Parkland Hospital and UT Southwestern. Both of which are currently building new hospitals.
