DALLAS (WBAP 24/7 News) --  The latest census data released Thursday reveals the Dallas-Fort Worth-Arlington area is the fastest growing area in the U.S.

Between July 1, 2011 and last July 1, 2012,  the population grew by over 130,000 people, or two percent.

The area has now grown by over four percent since April, 2011.  The Houston-area was second in population growth.
