IRVING, Texas (AP) - Professional team tennis is coming back to North Texas.
World Team Tennis officials announced Wednesday that Irving will be the new home for the team leaving Kansas City, Mo.
Irving officials have agreed to pay $400,000 for the team to move for the 2013 season.
Seven matches are scheduled for July. Eight cities have teams.
The co-owner of the Kansas City Explorers, Jeff Launius, recently told the Dallas Morning News (http://dallasne.ws/13KqXIQ ) he'd like to keep the team in Irving for 20 years.
