His dad was a cop, his mom a nurse. It doesn't get anymore salt of the earth than that.
STRONG middle class values, standing up for FAMILY VALUES and never hiding his faith, Chris Krok is blessed to be on this 91 year institution, WBAP.
Krok worked his way up from smaller markets, like Jefferson City, MO and Madison, WI. His big city break came when KSTP/Minneapolis called, and within a few years, he would be on the biggest stage of his life at WSB/Atlanta.
Changes in radio happen, and WSB decided to replace Chris with the legendary Herman Cain. Not a bad guy to take your place. Krok then went on to Macon, GA, only to be swept back into the big city again..this time to afternoons on the Legendary KLIF/Dallas-Fort Worth.
After two years at KLIF, Krok got the call..to..go across the hall! To the TALK MONSTER that is WBAP News/Talk 820 AM, where he makes his home each night from 8-Mid!
Krok has been a guest on cable TV news shows, like Bill O'Reilly and Lou Dobbs. He also does regular editorials on WFAA-TV Channel 8 ABC.
In 2011, Krok was honored as one of the 100 most important Radio Talk Show Hosts in America, by being added to "Talkers" magazine's "Heavy Hundred" list, ranking him among the biggest Talk Radio Stars in the U.S. "Radio and Records" named Krok as one of the "Ten Up and Coming Talents to Watch" in 2009. He was WSB's 2007 recipient of the "A.I.R." (Acheivement in Radio) Award. "Talkers" magazine named him as one of the 250 most important Talk Show Hosts in 2007. "Madison Magazine" readers voted him a Top Market Personality in 2003.
