Dr. Dean Edell hosts each Saturday from 8pm to Midnight, dispensing medical information to listeners across the Metroplex.
Dean, who began his "electronic practice" in 1979, was one of the first media doctors. A voracious researcher, Dean practices an eclectic kind of medicine, answering questions on just about any medical subject that comes across the phone lines. "Because I don't have a private practice, I have time to do the research required to intelligently instruct callers as to how and where they might find assistance with health problems."
Dean, an ophthalmologist and surgeon, earned his M.D. at Cornell University, where he also completed his undergraduate work in zoology with additional studies in architecture and mechanical engineering.
