Websites Launched to Coordinate Volunteer Effort

Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) — City leaders in both Dallas and Fort Worth have announced websites to help coordinate the volunteer effort in North Texas.

Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings announced this morning they’d launched http://www.dallashelpforharvey.net.

He says anyone looking to volunteer should check there first, not only to assess the need, but to clear any background checks that may be required.

The city of Fort Worth has a web address, too: http://www.fwhelpforharvey.com. There you can find current shelter information, urgent donations needed, as well as volunteer opportunities.
