Suspect Arrested for Shooting, Killing North Dallas Woman in Her Car

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF)- UPDATE: The Dallas Police Department now say a juvenile was responsible for the death of North Dallas Woman found shot in her car.

59-year-old Leslie Squair Baker was found shot in her driver’s seat outside her home in the Preston Hollow neighborhood on Monday.

Dallas Police say the juvenile was arrested and charged with capital murder. He is currently at the Dallas County Juvenile Detention Center.

ORGINAL POST 5/26/2020 : Dallas Police are investigating after they found a woman found shot in her car in the Preston Hollow Neighborhood.

Police say 59-year-old Leslie Squair Baker was found sitting in the driver’s seat of her car with an apparent gun shot wound.

“Officers pulled her out of the vehicle and began giving her first aid until Dallas Fire Rescue arrived. She was then transported to a local hospital where she was pronounced deceased,” said Officer Carlos Almeida.

According to her Facebook page, she was the Director of Marketing at Texas Health Center for Diagnostics & Surgery in Plano.

This happened at around 5 pm Monday on Royalton drive, two blocks from the intersection of Preston Road and Royal Lane.

Police said if you have any information regarding this incident, contact Dallas Crime Stoppers. Crime Stoppers is also offering up to a $5,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest.
