Texas Representative Sues Vice-President Mike Pence

(WBAP/KLIF) — Vice President Mike Pence has been sued by a Texas congressman.  Republican representative Louie Gohmert of Texas sued the vice-president, Sunday, in a bid to overturn Joe Biden’s 2020 election victory.

Gohmert’s lawsuit hones in on Pence’s presiding roll in the upcoming January 6th meeting to finalize the electoral votes, thus sealing Biden’s victory. The Texas Representative is asking a federal judge to strike down the Electoral Count Act, a law passed in 1887 and grant Pence the authority to overturn President Trump’s defeat in key battleground states where election fraud is alleged.

Election law experts believe the litigation has little chance of success, considering the vice-president’s role at the electoral vote confirmation is traditionally ceremonial.
