ATLANTA (AP) –  President Donald Trump is heard on tape pleading with Georgia’s election chief to overturn Joe Biden’s win in the state, suggesting in a telephone call that the official “find” enough votes to hand Trump the victory.

The Associated Press obtained a copy of a recording of Trump’s conversation with Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger.

Trump tells Raffensperger at one point that he wants him to “find” 11,780 votes for Trump.

Georgia previously certified that Democratic President-elect Biden won the state by 11,779 votes.

President Trump and his legal team has made accusations of widespread voter fraud; however, most of the lawsuits brought against multiple states have been dismissed by various courts.

Monday, a day after the audio recording was leaked, Georgia’s Election Implementation Manager Gabriel Sterling held a news conference where he read off a lengthy list of accusations by the Trump legal team over the previous weeks. Sterling, a republican, claimed the accusations were false.

President Trump, meanwhile, campaigned Monday night in Georgia for republicans in two Senate runoff elections that will determine control of the U.S. Senate.

Congress is scheduled to certify the Electoral College win of President-elect Joe Biden Wednesday although several republicans in both the House and Senate have voiced they plan to object to the results.
