Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton Not on President Trump’s Pardon List

AUSTIN (WBAP/KLIF News) – Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton still has the cloud of a federal investigation hanging over him after President Trump’s 11th hour pardon list was released without his name on it.

Seven top officials within Paxton’s office accused him of bribery and abuse of office. They have all been fired or resigned.

In September, the group reported him to the FBI accusing him of using his power to help his wealthy donor friend, Austin real estate developer Nate Paul.

He has not been charged in federal court so a pardon would have been pre-emptive, according to the Associated Press.

Paxton has denied wrongdoing.

He’s also facing securities fraud charges to which he has pleaded not guilty.

Paxton brought a legal challenge to the U.S. Supreme Court asking the justices to reverse President Joe Biden’s victory in the 2020 election. The lawsuit was eventually tossed out of court.

He also spoke at the January 6th rally in Washington D.C. just before a deadly riot broke out when mob of Trump’s supporters stormed the Capitol building.
