Last Days for North Texans to Donate to Ukrainian Winter Drive Push

(DALLAS)- The last days of a strong push to collect enough winter clothing and medical supplies to send to Ukraine is on, as the North Dallas store “Ukie Style” collects donations for an expected October 10th container to be sent to help those fighting the Russian invasion.

Ukie Style is the name of the shop that has been collecting supplies for fellow countrymen since the war began; it’s located on Preston Road just south of 635/LBJ Highway. Ukie Style’s Olena Jacobs says the store’s collections including cash donations to help pay for the container shipping is through a non-profit. It has set up an Amazon “wish list”, allowing interested people to see what Ukrainians are asking for with winter already setting in. Winter jackets, boots, thermal layering pieces, and medical supplies including cold and flu medicines are on the list; once purchased, the products will be sent directly to the store for loading into the container.

Jacobs estimates the price to send this container to the Ukraine at approximately $10,000, and she notes cash donations are accepted as well to help pay the costs.

Ukie Style is located on the southwest corner of Preston Road just south of 635/LBJ Highway. https://www.ukiestyle.com/pages/about-us?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI-IS0zo2u-gIVqhNMCh26cQRUEAAYASACEgL5mvD_BwE
