Voters Will Get Say on New Stadium

MCKINNEY (WBAP/KLIF News) – The McKinney School Board has approved putting a $220 million bond proposal before voters in May.

At the top of the list in the package is a new 12,000 seat stadium near Central Expressway and State Highway 121.

The board also wants to use the money for a new events center.

The leftover funds would go toward upgrades to current facilities.

For the first time in more than a decade, building a new school isn’t part of the plan.

Voters will head to the polls on May 7th.
