Baylor Launches Task Force to Clean Up Football Program

baylor universityWACO (WBAP/KLIF News) – Baylor University has announced a task force to handle more than 100 recommendations outlined in a law firm’s review of the school’s handling of numerous sexual assault allegations against football players.

The university said it released the findings by Pepper Hamilton in an effort to be more transparent.

The firm’s recommendations included personal apologizes, appropriate remedies and creating a culture within the football program that ensures reporting and disciplinary actions involving student-athletes.

The sexual assault scandal led to the firing of Head Football Coach Art Briles and the demotion of President Ken Starr, who remains a law professor at the school.
