DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) – A Dallas City Councilman hopes a recent court ruling will help in his fight against red light cameras.
Philip Kingston said the cameras are nothing more than a revenue ploy and they don’t increase public safety. He added that all of the data in the world won’t change the minds of those people who love them. “These people worship at the ‘Church of the Red Light Camera,’ and it’s like I have blasphemed against their god,” said Kingston.
Kingston has asked the head of the Public Safety Committee to see if the city is still within the law after a judge granted a lawyer money from the City of Richardson, and dismissed a ticket.
