FRISCO (WBAP/KLIF News) – The Frisco Police Department is mourning the death of a cadet.
It happened unexpectedly when Chris Murray collapsed two weeks ago during training.
Murray suffered from Rhabdomyolysis which is a rare muscle disease that can damage the kidneys from over exertion.
He was taken to the hospital and treated, but later died from severe complications.
Murray was already a valued member of the team, who also worked as a dispatcher for a few years.
His dream was to be an officer in the field.
