Man Kills Supervisor, Then Himself Inside Dallas Office Buiding

 

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) – Dallas police said two people were killed after a man entered an office building and shot his female supervisor then turned the gun on himself this morning.

It happened around 10:45 a.m, on the tenth floor of a building in Lake Highlands near the High Five and Central Expressway.

Officers and SWAT surrounded the building and went floor by floor to clear it.

Assistant Chief Randall Blankenbaker said they used a shotgun to  get in.

“We actually breached the front door to assure that there were no further victims or causalities,” he said.

This man was in the building as the shots rang out.

“We were just trapped in a closet. We kind of barricaded ourselves in. We heard some gunshots and had heard that the shooter was right above us,” he said.

Police said when officers entered the meeting room, they bodies of both the victim and the alleged shooter. One officer suffered minor injuries from broken glass during the entry.

According to Blankenbaker, the building was cleared by 12:49 p.m. Police have not released what led up to the shooting.

The identities of the deceased individuals will not be released until family notifications have been made.
