Unruly Passenger Booted From Southwest Airlines Flight

LAS VEGAS (WBAP/KLIF News) – An allegedly intoxicated passenger was removed from a Southwest Airlines flight from Las Vegas to Chicago on Memorial Day.

Southwest Airlines said the passenger was asked to “deplane flight 3630 on Monday before departing Las Vegas McCarran International Airport for Chicago Midway Airport.”

Witnesses told officials that the man had already been removed from the plane before he forced his way back on.

They said he then refused to leave the plane after repeated requests from airline staff.

A Southwest Airlines passenger had to zip tie the man to a seat while the crew waited for police to intervene.

The Dallas-based carrier released a statement regarding the incident that read in part.

“The company has robust training programs and procedures to ensure employees are cognizant of both the regulatory requirements and safety concerns surrounding unruly passengers.”
