PLANO (WBAP/KLIF News) – The Plano Police Department is investigating a fatal officer-involved shooting.
It happened Monday around 4:25 p.m. at a Quick Trip near the intersection of Preston Road and Spring Creek Parkway.
An officer was pumping gas when a car crashed into a pickup at a nearby pump. The woman who was driving jumped out and ran. A man who was also in the car, jumped out and started shooting.
The man was shot by the officer. He was transported to a local hospital but died. The relationship between the man and woman is unclear.
The Texas Rangers are assisting with the investigation.
