Armed man shot, killed in Arlington neighborhood

Arlington (WBAP/KLIF) – Arlington Police shot and killed an armed man Saturday who was roaming through a neighborhood, wearing body armor, banging on doors. It began as an afternoon domestic disturbance call involving two brothers. Police determined one of the brothers was holding the other at gunpoint. The one with the gun broke through an apartment wall into the vacant unit next door, and made his way into the complex’ parking lot where he carjacked a vehicle, and drove off with police after him. At some point in the pursuit he lost control of his hijacked vehicle, then fled into a neighborhood near Pioneer Parkway and Park Row Drive. He was roaming through that neighborhood, banging on doors with a gun in his hand when he suddenly turned up in front of a police officer, and was shot. He died of his injuries. The officer was not injured.
