IRVING (WBAP/KLIF) – The Irving Police Department is investigating a case of human trafficking involving a 15-year-old Irving runaway.
According to Police, in early November, the victim was introduced to the suspect who eventually compelled her into prostitution. The victim escaped and was recovered by the Dallas Police Department. During an interview, the victim made an outcry of the trafficking and prostitution. Investigators have identified the suspect in the case as 35-year-old Richard Lee Dixon. He is currently in the Irving Jail on a charge of Trafficking of Persons. His bond is set at $250,000.
Investigators believe there are additional victims of Dixon’s prostitution operation and are asking them to come forward. Anyone who may have been victimized by the suspect, or know someone who may have been a victim, is asked to contact the Irving Police Department.
