The Dallas Library is giving away prom dresses

Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) – The Dallas Public Library is once again giving away donated prom dresses, shoes, and accessories. Library staff calls it the Fairy Tale Closet, and it runs through 5:00 o’clock this afternoon. The seventh floor of the Central Public Library in downtown Dallas has been transformed into a huge, open closet with 1200 donated dresses and gowns up for grabs. They reportedly come in all colors, all styles, and all sizes. All of the dresses are free for the asking to young women in the Dallas area who are planning to attend their school proms in the spring, but might have a little trouble dealing with the expense.

The library staff says walk-ins are welcome.
