LUCAS (WBAP/KLIF) – The Collin County Medical Examiner’s Office identified two people who were found dead Sunday night inside a Lucas home as a father and his daughter.
According to the Collin County Sheriff’s Office, 58-year-old Donald Zriny and his daughter, 26-year-old Amanda Zriny were found inside a home on 380 Ingram Lane in Lucas. The Collin County Medical Examiner determined the cause of death to Amanda Zriny was homicide by strangulation and the cause of death to Mr. Zriny was suicide by hanging.
Donald Zriny while was on the Lucas City Council from 2005 through 2012.
“It is truly sad when anyone loses their life,” said City of Lucas Mayor Jim Olk. “Don Zriny helped guide and mold the City of Lucas. Our hearts and prayers go out to the family in this time of loss.”
