Weatherford (WBAP/KLIF) – A Weatherford firefighter has died while in west Texas battling wildfires near the Davis mountains. 42 year old Richard “Andy” Loller Jr. suffered an unspecified medical emergency while working in west Texas. He was flown out of the area by helicopter to get treatment, but died while en route to Odessa.
Weatherford city manager Sharon Hayes said in a written statement, “we are all deeply shocked and saddened by the news of Andy’s passing. He will be sorely missed by the community, and all who knew and worked with him. our prayers are with his family at this time.”
Loller is survived by his wife, two children, and a sister.
