Lewisville Father Charged with Capital Murder After Stabbing His Baby to Death

DENTON COUNTY (WBAP/KLIF)- A Lewisville man is charged with capital murder after stabbing his 16-month-old baby to death at his apartment complex courtyard.

Lieutenant Micheal Lane with Lewisville police said 27-year old Blair Ness was shot in the leg by one of his neighbors to get him to stop. Lane said Ness was screaming “Jesus is coming” when killing his baby, Ashton.

“He said some incriminating things saying, ‘ I know you’re mad, I’m mad…I killed my son’,” Lane recalled. Police say the mother of the baby was at work and said when she left everything seemed normal. “She told me she has no idea what would promote him to do such a thing,” Lane said.

Ness was released from hospital Tuesday. After interviews he will be transported to Denton County Jail. His bail is set for $1.5 million.

Ashton’s mother has set up a go-fund-me page to help cover costs of Ashton’s funeral. She is also hosting a vigil Thursday night at 7:30 pm at Wayne Ferguson Plaza on Church Street in Lewisville.
