(WBAP/KLIF)- The North Texas Tollway Authority (NTTA) is putting a brine solution on roads and bridges ahead of possible wintry weather this week. Brine is a salt water mix used to keep roads from icing over and prevents cars from slipping. “We watch and wait for weather updates but by putting this ice preventative on the roads, we get a head start if something does happen it gives us more time to get more trucks on the road,” Michael Rey with NTTA said.
They’re doing this during slower traffic times but do warn drivers to stay back as crews continue to treat these roads.
