Early Voting for Local Elections in North Texas Begins Today

Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) – Early voting starts begins today across North Texas local leaders, including two high-profile contests for mayor in Dallas and Fort Worth.

In Dallas, a mayoral runoff will be the likely result in the crowded nine candidates. Dallas political analyst Clayton Henry told the Dallas Morning News, that “while there was great anticipation for the contest to replace outgoing Mayor Mike Rawlings, the candidates have not inspired voters.

In Fort Worth, Mayor Betsy Price is seeking a record fifth term against Deborah Peoples, the chairwoman of the Tarrant County Democratic Party.

Election Day is May 4.
