Conference To Show Positive Economic Impact Of Immigrants In Dallas County

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – A special conference on the economic impact of immigrants in Dallas County is set for Wednesday. The North Dallas Chamber of Commerce is hosting, alongside ‘New American Economy’, a bi-partisan research organization. Chelsie Kramer, with NAE, says immigrants are having a positive influence on the Metroplex economy. She says nearly 50-percent of economic growth in Dallas County within the last five years is due to immigrants entering the city. The conference does not separate illegal immigrants from legal immigrants in its report, but will include studies on undocumented immigrants during its presentation.

The conference will be held from 12pm-1pm at the North Dallas Chamber of Commerce, 10701 Preston Road, Dallas, 75230. The event will feature a panel and the release of a new report on the economic importance of immigrants in Dallas county as workers, business owners, and taxpayers.
