DUNCANVILLE (WBAP/KLIF News) — A Duncanville boy scout troop is trying to figure out who stole one of their trailers.

The thief reportedly broke a gate lock and targeted a trailer that was full of equipment — the only one among many others to have equipment inside.

“We teach them to be trustworthy and loyal and be good citizens and to be respectful to each other,” Bettie George, Troop 129’s Committee Chair, told our media partners at WFAA-TV. “And to have someone be this disrespectful to them is kind of disheartening to them.”

Some of the items inside that were part of the theft include stoves, lanyards for a light source, and med kits.

“It’s a pretty big hit at $7,000 to replace the trailer and all the gear and everything that’s in it,” George said.

An Amazon Wish list has been created in an effort to replace the stolen items. To see the list and help, click here.
