Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) An overnight 18-wheeler fire is still causing problems for commuters this morning. Westbound #LBJ Freeway at Preston is backed to the Central Expressway. The truck filled with packages was torched. Mike Forbes from our media partner WFAA-TV tells us that there some speculation that is was a truck contracted by FedEX.
Hazmat is on the scene. The truck was using liquified petroleum gas, which is also know as (LPG) or propane autogas, propane is a clean-burning alternative fuel that’s been used for decades to power light, medium-, and heavy-duty propane vehicles.
