Reunion Tower, the icon of downtown Dallas, is boasting something new that will surely attract plenty of visitors, a revamped observation deck.
Six years ago, the deck was closed to the public for repairs and renovations and was supposed to open two years later. Parts of the tower and Union Station underwent a major renovation in 2008, but the economic downturn put the planned facelift of the observation deck on hold.
The re-engineered GeO-Deck is full of innovations, like walls and ceilings highlighted with flashing lights and a floor designed as a map of Dallas.
Of course, if you visit the new deck you’ll be able to look out across Dallas County from some 561-feet in the sky. Plus, there’s a new restaurant called Cloud Nine, managed by celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck.
