DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF 24/7 NEWS) There will be a home rule charter commission meeting tonight at 6pm in the central administration building according to the DISD website.
At last months meeting some commissioners said they now have enough information to decide if a charter is needed. They have been listening to various organizations, community members, DISD trustees and Superintendent Mike Miles for several months.
A home rule charter would determine how the district is operated and governed. If the commissioners approve a charter, it would then go before voters in an election.
