(WBAP 24/7 NEWS) – Close to 54,000 North Texans are enjoying presents they were given through The Salvation Army's Angel Tree program.
"Over 50,000 of those were children, the remainder were adults. Mainly senior citizens, but we also help veterans and disabled adults."
Major Michelle Matthews with The Salvation Army says all of the recipients of the gifts come from disadvantaged families who register for the program before the Christmas holiday.
