Something very disappointing happened to me last week. As I was shopping I couldn’t reach an 
item on the top shelf. After I couldn’t find a store employee I asked another customer if he could help me.
Before I could tell him what I needed he shouted “I don’t have any money to give you!!!!”
I can’t explain how many emotions I felt at that moment. Shock, anger, disgust, disbelief…
I immediately started to re-evaluate my appearance. I was shopping right after work, so I was dressed professionally, I’m not a very tall person so he shouldn’t have been afraid that I was going to overpower and rob him.
I don’t play the “damsel in distress” part, but what happened to a gentleman helping a lady?
I know this was an isolated incident, and most men would have helped, but at that moment I was very disappointed in mankind.
