Cumulus Media is proud to have coach Pete D’Arruda on it’s airwaves in Dallas, Texas on NewsTalk 820 WBAP. We call him Call him Coach Pete.
The program is called Financial Safari. Coach Pete will host his radio show every Saturday afternoon from 3p-4p right with local Financial Advisor Tom Eifler Jr. from Eifler Advisory Group. On the show, financial questions are asked and answered in 11 minute segments.
How Pete D’Arrunda got a radio program
Pete wasn’t always a financial adviser or a radio talk show host. He graduated from UNC- Chapel Hill in 1988 and spent a few years as a mortgage broker. With his education background (his dad is a college professor and his mom is also a teacher) he began advising teachers about financial planning and how to help them save pre-tax dollars in the early 1990′s. From there he launched his full service financial planning firm, Capital Financial Advisory Group in 1996. The business moved to its current location in 2001. To fuel his business, he was traveling within a six state territory giving workshops and speaking engagements. The travel, he said, was killing him. He moved to Cary North Carolina and started a family.
So, how to stay home and still generate news about his financial advisory business? The idea for a radio show, Coach Pete’s Financial Safari , was launched. The radio show started in 2005, about the same time he published his first book, “Financial Safari”.
Thomas O Eifler, Jr. is the President at Eifler Advisory Group Lone Star State. He has 26 years’ experience in the insurance and annuity industry and graduated Cum Laude in 2 ½ years with a bachelor’s degree in finance from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Thomas Eifler Jr. obtained his securities license in 1987 and worked at Prudential Securities, Inc. from 1990 through 1999. During his time at Prudential, he achieved First Vice President status. Since that time he has worked with the Eifler Advisory Group.
Thomas Eifler Jr. is a commercial helicopter pilot and private and instrument rated airplane pilot. Tom flew rescue missions after Hurricane Katrina and the earthquake in Haiti. He was the recipient of the 2006 Igor Sikorsky Award for Humanitarian Service. His hobbies include mountain biking, road biking, snowboarding, running and competing in Ironman races.
