Local Athlete Hopes for Olympics, Despite Zika

(WBAP/KLIF News) A local soccer player is hoping to represent the U.S. this summer in Rio de Janiero, despite the concerns surrounding the Zika virus. Some athletes and potential spectators say they are staying away from Brazil due to the health scare. Kellyn Acosta plays with FC Dallas and says he plans to keep his head in the game. He also has some advice for young players hoping to hit the Olympic level: eat healthy and stay focused. Acosta says he has two more games to play against Columbia before it’s determined if his team will be Olympic bound.
