AUSTIN (WBAP/KLIF) – A settlement is expected to be announced in the Frisco “bury the lines” debate.
The city and Brazos Electric Cooperative have been working on an potential agreement that would allow a new power line to be buried along West Main street instead of being placed on tall poles above ground.
Homeowners in the area have opposed the overhead lines, claiming they would be unsightly and drive down property values.
Part of the 34 (m) million dollar cost would be passed on to Frisco electric users through an increase in their monthly bill.
The Texas Public Utility Commission will rule on the proposal.
