Contaminated Water Supply

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – The Dallas ISD is relocating some of its employees because of contaminated water at one of its buildings.  Low levels of lead, bromate and other chemicals were found in the water at the Cotton Building on South Lamar.

The district’s Andra Riley says water has been turned off at the site and employees will be given bottled water until they can be moved.  The district says this is the first time water at the building has been tested.

The Cotton Building is used as a central location for employees who work in custodial, maintenance, environmental, HVAC, real estate, operations, warehouse and transportation.
