National Weather Service Confirms Stephenville Damage Caused by EF-1 Tornado

(WBAP/KLIF) – The severe storms that hit North Texas early Tuesday morning blew windows out of the Erath County Courthouse in Stephenville. The National Weather Service confirms an EF-1 Tornado touched down in Stephenville.

“We’ve seen the live cameras we’ve got inside the Courthouse that showed the windows being sucked in on one side and blown out the other,” said Erath County Commissioner Joe Brown.

Brown reports the roof of a nearby fire station in the City of Dublin was ripped off. No one was seriously hurt.

Meanwhile in Garland, one person was seriously hurt when the van he was driving was struck by flying debris from high winds near LBJ Freeway and Garland Road. Two other businesses were also damaged in the immediate area.
