Dallas ISD Student One of City’s Top Young Leaders

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) An immigrant student in the Dallas ISD is making more of a difference in the community than most of her native classmates. Mu Di is a refugee from Burma, also known as Myanmar, and the Bryan Adams High School student is now one of the top young leaders in the city. Her family traveled to Dallas 10 years ago to escape violence during a civil war. Mu told WFAA she was asked to apply for the Dallas Youth Commission. She now provides insight and advice to the city council.
