Lyft, Uber Edge Out Taxis at DFW Airport

Lyft Uber ComboDALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) – Uber and Lyft are now the preferred car-for-hire services at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport.

In just six months, the ride-sharing companies have taken control at the airport and provide more trips than taxis, according to airport data.

Since being cleared to operate at the airport last summer, transportation network companies have seen their number of rides rise from 28,000 in August to more than 107,000 in January.

Customers said they prefer the convenience and cheaper rates.

Taxi companies sued to block the services from the airport, but the case was dismissed.
