Leaders Search for Solution to Sandbranch Water Problems

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) – People in a small unincorporated area of south Dallas County known as “Sandbranch” hope a meeting will help bring a solution to their water woes.

For more than three decades, residents have been without access to clean running water.

On Tuesday, Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins will meet with an attorney for the group, along with local, state and federal representatives.

The lawyer said his mission is to come up with a workable strategy in bringing water and sewer services to the poor area.

Over the past month, bottled water has been made available by the county to residents.

The meeting is scheduled for 10:00 a.m.
