DALLAS COUNTY (WBAP/KLIF) – A 2 month old in Dallas County has died of the flu.
According to Dallas County Health and Human Services this is the first pediatric death in Dallas County for the 2015-16 flu season. 19 people died of the flu in Dallas County last year.
County Health Director Zachary Thompson says the flu season usually ends in May, but it may be longer this year. Thompson adds it’s not too late to get a flu shot.
The flu vaccine DCHHS provides is an all-in-one shot that protects against multiple flu strains including the H1N1 virus.
