DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) Animal advocates are being called out to Dowdy Ferry Road in Dallas this weekend. Organizers are encouraging the public to get more involved in the dumping of dead and living animals. 91 corpses were found there since last summer that included dogs, cats, horses, goats, sheep, cows, roosters, a deer, a pig, and other unidentified skeletons. The dumping grounds are the site of the event Saturday at 9 am, just south of Interstate 20. The Dallas Morning News reports that 91 crosses will go up at the site to recognize the animals. The SPCA is offering a $2,500 reward for information leading to an animal cruelty arrest, and Crimestoppers is offering up to $1,500 for information about any illegal dumping there. All animals belonging to residents in the 75217 zip code are eligible for free spay and neuter services.
