Jury Convicts Man in 2013 Murder

GARLAND (WBAP/KLIF News) – A man from Garland has been sentenced to life in prison for beating his girlfriends’ ex-boyfriend to death with a toilet tank lid.

Braylon Ellis, 27, was charged with capital murder in the death of Tommy Brown, 51.

After deliberating for two days, the jury convicted Ellis of murder, but not capital murder.
