Rowlett Police ask for help

WBAP/KLIF – Rowlett Police are asking the public to help identify the person who shot a jogger in the throat with a pellet gun.

ROWLETT POLICE STATEMENT – At approximately 6:42 p.m. on Thursday 03/31/2016, a Rockwall woman was jogging westbound on the 2 mile bridge between Rockwall and Rowlett. When she came to the Rowlett City limit sign, she turned around to start running back towards Rockwall. She looked up and saw a grey or silver sedan with a white male with blonde hair hanging out of the front passenger window. As the vehicle passed, she felt a sharp pain in her neck. When she turned around, she heard the suspects laughing as they passed. The victim suffered a small puncture wound to the throat and was transported to Presbyterian Hospital in Rockwall by a family member. The pellet was lodged in the victim’s neck. She was treated and released.
