DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) A woman robbed of her money, and her ability to walk traveled across the Atlantic in hopes of a second chance. Jane Mwangi told WFAA she came to Dallas from Kenya in search of help from the doctors at the Baylor Institute for Rehabilitation. Doctors at home told Jane the man who shot her in the back likely took away any chance she would have to walk again. Jane is not sure how she will pay for treatment, but her friends and family back home raised more than $7k to help. Her therapists here are trying to get a wheelchair donated for her by the time she is discharged.
