ELLIS COUNTY (WBAP/KLIF) – A flight instructor and a student pilot were seriously injured when their single-engine plane crashed at Mid-Way Regional Airport about halfway between Midlothian and Waxahachie in Ellis County. It’s not clear what caused the crash. The FAA says they were engaged in some sort of training exercise when they hit the ground.
