DENTON (WBAP/KLIF) – Denton County has reported its first Zika virus patient.
The woman recently traveled to a country with active transmission of the virus.
Denton County Public Health recommending travel precautions to countries with active zika virus transmission.
Zika is most commonly contracted by mosquito bite but it has also been reported in sexual transmission with an infected person.
