Gunman tries to rob Dallas Police officer

WBAP/KLIF –  An undercover Dallas Police officer sitting in an unmarked police car was surprised early Saturday morning when a man with a gun tried to rob him. It happened a little after midnight in Old East Dallas near Malone’s Supermarket. The gunman stuck his pistol in the officer’s face. The officer pulled out his own gun. The gunman fired at the officer. The officer fired at the gunman. The officer wasn’t hit. The gunman didn’t appear to be hit, either, because he ran away. Police say he’s a Hispanic male in his 20’s. He’s about 5’6″ tall, and has short cropped hair. When last seen he was wearing a blue hoodie and blue jeans.
