Armed robbery suspect shot by FORT WORTH Police

WBAP/KLIF – Fort Worth Police shot an apparent armed robbery suspect Sunday morning.  The first officers responding to an armed robbery call at the Quick Way food store on East Rosedale Street about 4:00 AM saw a man with a rifle inside the business.  At the same time they were talking to a store employee who was hiding inside.  The suspect in the store ignored commands to surrender, and was shot when he pointed his rifle at the officers outside.  He’s now hospitalized.  The store employee who was hiding was found safe and sound inside a walk-in cooler.    No police officers were injured.
